Wendy Lane Stevens - President
Wendy Lane Stevens has more than 30 years of experience in the combined areas of marketing communications, public relations, crisis communications, branding, retail and merchandising.
Before starting LANE, Wendy was vice president at a mid-size public relations and advertising firm, a divisional buyer for a major retail company and the assistant advertising manager for a national clothing company.
She has experience nationally and internationally in numerous industries including technology; business-to-business with financial services, legal, real estate, economic development; and consumer with healthcare, food & beverage, fashion, packaged goods and hospitality.
Wendy has a depth of experience serving nonprofits both as a board member and general member. Under her leadership, LANE regularly donates their time to nonprofit causes.
Wendy received her marketing degree in business administration with honors from the University of Oregon, and then earned a secondary degree in public relations and merchandising in New York City.
Her marketing and public relations expertise is highly sought-after by companies and organizations across all industries. Notable speaking engagements have included Dentsu in Tokyo, Japan; the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys in Chicago, Illinois; the American Economic Development Council in Portland, Oregon; the Culinary Institute of America’s Greystone Food Media Conference in Napa, California and the Governor’s Tourism Conference in Bend, Oregon.
Brian Nakashima - CFO
Brian Nakashima has 19 years of finance and accounting experience with a focus on enhancing shareholder value, designing and implementing business planning, improving operational efficiency, and providing quality information and processes for company management and employees. He joined LANE as CFO in July 2011 and is responsible for financial leadership for the agency.
Prior to joining LANE, Brian was the CFO for Euro RSCG Edge where he was part of the leadership team. While there he participated in five merger and acquisition transactions, designed and implemented compensation plans, developed a comprehensive budgeting system, created accounting systems and prepared reporting in compliance with GAAP and IFRS. Brian was also a manager for Ernst & Young where he was responsible for multiple audits and consulting projects and developed new business.
Brian is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Linfield College.
Amy Moore Paterson - Vice President
Amy Paterson brings more than 17 years of strategic marketing experience to LANE. As vice president of social media, Amy oversees social media strategy for client projects as well as leads the agency’s digital and social media initiatives in New York and Portland.
During her tenure at LANE, she has led both business-to-business and business-to-consumer accounts, including PRSA and IABC award-winning campaigns. Before joining LANE, Amy worked in marketing and fundraising for the Portland Opera and Portland’s Broadway Theater Season.
In addition to her work at LANE, Amy is co-founder of My Little Waiting Room™, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing drop-in child care to hospitals. In recognition of her community service work on behalf of children and families, in 2008 she received a Hello Tomorrow Fund Award from Avon and was recognized as a Pink Power Mom by Bright Starts and their Kids II Foundation.
Amy volunteers as a community member of Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital Integrative Cancer Care Advisory Committee. She is a past-co-chair and committee member of Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation/Portland and served as a member of the now-defunct Doernbecher Foundation Junior Executive Board.
Amy graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Connecticut College where she studied English literature.
Kristen Siefkin - Vice President
Kristen Siefkin contributes more than 12 years of media relations experience to the LANE team. As lead of the agency’s consumer products and food and beverage division, Kristen has managed the development and execution of strategic public relations campaigns for a wide variety of brands, including Whole Foods Markets, Wines from Spain, E&J Gallo, Auction Napa Valley, Gardenburger Authentic Foods Company, Dutch Bros. Coffee, Craft Brewers Alliance, Harry’s Fresh Foods, Olive Oil from Spain, Heathman Hotels and Sexy Hair.
Before joining LANE, Kristen was the public relations and marketing manager for McMenamins Hotels, Pubs and Breweries where she assisted in driving all company-wide marketing programs. Kristen was also at the forefront of promotional efforts relating to the grand opening of multiple hotel and restaurant locations and hundreds of special events.
Kristen graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology, received a certificate in French at the Universite du Mans in LeMans, France, and participated in the public relations program at Marylhurst University. She is a co-chair of the International Association of Culinary Professionals’ PR Committee, a member of the International Food Editors Council, and was the 2007 PR chair for Taste America food festival, a fundraiser for a Portland Public Market in Honor of James Beard.
Angie Galimanis - Vice President
Angie Galimanis brings fifteen years of public relations and marketing experience to her position as a vice president at LANE. At LANE, Angie has managed campaigns and provided strategic public relations counsel for a broad range of consumer and business-to-business clients including E&J Gallo, Widmer Brothers Brewing, Moonstruck Chocolate Co., Dutch Bros. Coffee, Hamstreet & Associates and the Heathman Hotel.
Her work has garnered results for clients in top tier national print publications including: The New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, O Magazine, The Washington Post and Fortune as well as national broadcast including: The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show, CNN, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Food Network and Good Moring America as well as countless local and regional outlets.
Prior to joining LANE, Angie was the public relations manager for Moonstruck Chocolate Company where she developed, implemented and managed all aspects of public relations for the Moonstruck Chocolate brand taking them from a local chocolate company to a national brand over a five-year period.
She also served as vice president for Serling & Associates where she was responsible for public relations campaigns for regional and national clients including Krispy Kreme, Zelda Wisdom and Will Vinton Studios. Angie started her career as an associate producer for The Good Evening Show, an evening magazine format program that aired on KGW TV in Portland, Ore.
Angie attended the University of Oregon where she studied journalism. She serves as the PR chair for the Hayhurst Kids’ triathlon, one of the largest children’s triathlons in US and is an active volunteer for the Oregon Food Bank.
Amber Roberts - Managing Director
Amber Roberts has nine years of public relations experience in a wide range of industries. Amber leads LANE’s New York City office and focuses on developing and executing public relations strategies for financial services and technology companies.
Prior to joining LANE, she was at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, Microsoft’s public relations agency of record. In this role she led business, trade and consumer public relations campaigns and cultivated relationships with editors, reporters and technology reviewers at national media outlets.
Previous to her employment at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, Amber spent four years at Robinson, Lerer & Montgomery (RLM), a strategic communications firm based in New York City. During her tenure at RLM, she developed and implemented strategic and crisis communications plans for companies involved in litigation, bankruptcy and executive transitions.
Amber graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Marketing. She is a member of Financial Women’s Association (FWA) and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Amber is actively involved with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
Paula Ordway - Director of Human Resources
Paula Ordway has more than 25 years of management and leadership experience in all aspects of human resources, strategic planning, and facilitation. As the director of human resources for LANE, she leads the delivery of employee services and programs, drives strategies for recruitment and organization transitions, and refines policies and procedures for effective day-to-day activity. She also plays a key role in agency management.
Prior to joining LANE in November 2006, Paula was the director of human resources for Bank of America in Oregon where she was responsible for managing all human resources services for 1,500 employees, often during times of significant change. In addition, she led marketing, customer service, and community outreach programs for the commercial banking segment. Paula’s earlier career included human resource positions at Citibank, FCB/Leber Katz Partners, and R.H. Macy & Company, Inc. in New York.
Paula graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in communication.
Vicki Ruse - Controller
Vicki Ruse is responsible for the preparation of annual and monthly financial statements, reconciliations and client invoicing. She also oversees the day-to-day accounting activities as well as administration of employee benefits.
Before joining LANE in August of 2005, Vicki worked from 1979-2005 with Portland-based Columbia Management, investment advisor for Columbia Funds. She held various positions with Columbia, from fund accountant to senior corporate accountant and was responsible for general ledger, commissions, payroll, retirement plan administration, and special projects. She also had an integral part in accounting system conversions and upgrades.
Vicki is a native Oregonian and has more than 25 years of experience in accounting and benefit administration.
