COAST, a third-generation family business originally founded in 1919 to provide knives to the farmers, ranchers and workingmen of the Pacific Northwest, today is the exclusive distributor of the German-engineered LED Lenser hand-held lights for outdoor and tactical use in North and South America. The LED technology outshined the competition but the company lacked consumer awareness about its hand-held lights.

LANE PR launched a focused media campaign to drive sales and position COAST as a category leader in the hand-held LED lighting industry. The agency utilized seasonal campaigns, New York media tours, trade shows and targeted product placement pitches to consumer, trade and outdoor publications to showcase the advantages of COAST’s technology versus the competition.

The result? In 10 months, LANE PR’s work generated more than 10 million impressions with an estimated ad value that equaled 3.4 times the total PR budget. COAST’s products shined in major media outlets from CNBC and MSN to Popular Mechanics and Field and Stream.
