Save-a-Lot

The Pacific Northwest is known for having a preference for all things local.  Save-A-Lot, the nation’s leading value grocery chain, was opening their first stores in Oregon and Washington.   They tapped LANE PR to show locals that Save-A-Lot has a lot to offer – everyday affordability and community support.

LANE PR reached out to community leaders and city officials to establish key partnerships in the community.  They analyzed industry reports and competitor data, formed street teams to canvas the neighborhoods, interviewed key community influencers and even attended neighborhood association meetings, all in an effort to tailor just the right grassroots campaign for each market. 

The result?  Expectations were surpassed.  An average of 650 people attended each store opening, and during the opening months, the new stores all posted sales well above their usual weekly sales.
