Broadway Cab

In 2008, Broadway Cab introduced 6 new Prius taxi cabs to their fleet and called upon LANE PR to create a buzz.  How do you create interest in taxi cabs? 

You go viral.  LANE PR promoted an online contest to name the new cabs.  The winner, announced on Earth Day, won a “Go Green” package at the Heathman Hotel. 

You go local.  LANE PR encouraged residents to go downtown for a free test ride in one of the new cabs. 

You get creative.  The agency partnered with KGW to surprise travelers at the Portland Airport.  Answer a question about a “green” fact correctly and receive a free cab ride to the destination of your choice.

The result?   News coverage on virtually every Portland media outlet from radio to television and print to online.  Broadway Cab earned recognition for their efforts to take the company in a more environmentally sustainable direction and won the loyalty of Portlanders for providing them with a cleaner choice in taxi cabs.
