LANE, a national, independent agency specializing in public relations, digital marketing and investor relations, has received a Spotlight Award for excellence in investor relations by the Portland Metro chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA Portland).
LANE received the award for a public and investor relations campaign it executed for Thoma Bravo, a private equity firm in Chicago and San Francisco that specializes in application and infrastructure software and technology-enabled services. The campaign was strategized and executed around the firm’s latest fundraise, Thoma Bravo Fund XI, in May 2014.
“My team was challenged with bringing Thoma Bravo to the forefront amidst a crowded fundraising environment earlier this year, and we proudly delivered,” said Amber Roberts, vice president at LANE. “Despite the ever-evolving media landscape and increasingly competitive fundraising conditions, this campaign demonstrates the power of a consistent, calculated and committed public and investor relations program.”
Through a strategic public relations campaign, LANE secured coverage of Thoma Bravo’s proven investment strategy and new fund in every media outlet the agency targeted, including a feature story from New York Times DealBook. Thoma Bravo was ultimately able to secure financial commitments totaling $3.65 billion, or 146 percent of Fund XI’s intended goal.
The PRSA Portland Metro chapter gave more than 35 awards to agencies and public relations professionals Thursday Oct. 16, at the Left Bank Annex in Portland. The Spotlight Awards are designed to highlight individuals who’ve made breakthroughs in the industry, and continue to challenge the realm of public relations and communications.
