Wendy Lane Stevens - President

lawe012_website7Wendy Lane Stevens has more than 30 years of experience in the combined areas of marketing communications, public relations, new product introductions, retail and merchandising.

Before starting LANE PR, Wendy was vice president at a mid-size public relations and advertising firm, a divisional buyer for a major retail company and the assistant advertising manager for a national clothing company.

She has experience nationally and internationally in numerous industries including technology; business-to-business with financial services, legal, real estate, economic development; and consumer with healthcare, food & beverage, fashion, packaged goods and hospitality.

Wendy has a depth of experience serving nonprofits both as a board member and general member. Under her leadership, LANE PR regularly donates their time to nonprofit causes.

An Oregon native, Wendy received her marketing degrees in business administration with honors from the University of Oregon, and then earned a secondary degree in public relations and merchandising in New York City.

Her marketing and public relations expertise is highly sought-after by companies and organizations across all industries.  Notable speaking engagements have included Dentsu in Tokyo, Japan; the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys in Chicago, Illinois; the American Economic Development Council in Portland, Oregon; the Culinary Institute of America’s Greystone Food Media Conference in Napa, California and the Governor’s Tourism Conference in Bend, Oregon.

Eve Callahan - Vice President

eve-2006-color-head_website1Eve Callahan brings more than 10 years of marketing and public relations experience to the agency.  She manages the development and execution of strategic public relations campaigns that help clients break through to consumers and the media.  Her work has garnered results for clients in top tier national media including: The New York Times, BusinessWeek, USA Today, Fast Company, CNBC, InStyle, Sunset and Saveur as well as targeted local and regional outlets.

Eve has managed campaigns for a broad range of consumer and business-to-business clients including Umpqua Bank, Nike, Rumblefish, Boyd Coffee Company, the South Waterfront District, Villebois and Grand Central Bakery.  Her work includes a PRSA Spotlight Award-winning campaign for Diedrich Coffee People.

Eve also served as the agency’s creative director for more than a year, providing creative direction, strategic ideas and execution for client initiatives including Villebois, Harry’s Fresh Foods, South Waterfront District and Paulson Investment Company.

Before joining LANE PR, Eve oversaw development of sponsorship strategies, grants and proposals for the Portland Opera, and she brought more than 20 years of musical experience to materials for the organization’s statewide touring programs targeting at-risk youth.  She was instrumental in the organization’s Fresh Aria campaign, which raised more than $4 million in a year and a half, and she developed and wrote the company’s first successful NEA grant in seven years.

A Columbia University graduate and classically-trained Julliard violinist, Eve honed her writing skills as an intern at the New York Times and as a copyeditor at Random House.  She is active with a number of nonprofit organizations including Friends of Chamber Music, Slow Food and the I Have A Dream Foundation, and she is a native Oregonian.

Amy Moore Paterson - Vice President

amy-patterson-001_websiteAmy Paterson brings 15 years of strategic marketing experience to LANE PR.  She is a member of the agency’s management team and leads employee training and development.

During her tenure at LANE PR, she has led both business-to-business and business-to-consumer accounts, including PRSA and IABC award-winning campaigns.  Before joining LANE, Amy worked in marketing and fundraising for the Portland Opera and Portland’s Broadway Theater Season.

In addition to her work at LANE PR, Amy is co-founder of My Little Waiting Room™, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing drop-in child care to hospitals.  In recognition of her community service work on behalf of children and families, in 2008 she received a Hello Tomorrow Fund Award from Avon and was recognized as a Pink Power Mom by Bright Starts and their Kids II Foundation.

Amy volunteers as a community member of Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital Integrative Cancer Care Advisory Committee.  She is a past-co-chair and committee member of Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation/Portland and served as a member of the now-defunct Doernbecher Foundation Junior Executive Board.

Amy graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Connecticut College where she studied English literature.

Kristen Siefkin - Vice President

kristen-color-2006_websiteKristen Siefkin contributes more than 11 years of media relations experience to the LANE PR team.  As lead of the agency’s consumer products division, Kristen has managed the development and execution of strategic public relations campaigns for a wide variety of brands, including Whole Foods Markets, Wines from Spain, Pacific Coast Restaurants, Gardenburger Authentic Foods Company, Sokol Blosser Winery, Tully’s Coffee, Henry Weinhard’s Brewery, Harry’s Fresh Foods and Auction Napa Valley.

Before joining LANE PR, Kristen was the public relations and marketing manager for McMenamins Hotels, Pubs and Breweries where she assisted in driving all company-wide marketing programs.  Kristen was also at the forefront of promotional efforts relating to the grand opening of multiple hotel and restaurant locations and hundreds of special events.

Kristen graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology, received a certificate in French at the Universite du Mans in LeMans, France, and participated in the public relations program at Marylhurst University.  She is a member of the International Food Editors Council and International Association of Culinary Professionals, as well as the 2007 PR chair for both Taste America food festival and Portland Public Market in Honor of James Beard.

Vicki Ruse - Controller

vicki_color_websiteVicki Ruse is responsible for the preparation of annual and monthly financial statements, reconciliations and client invoicing. She also oversees the day-to-day accounting activities as well as administration of employee benefits.

Before joining LANE PR in August of 2005, Vicki worked from 1979-2005 with Portland-based Columbia Management, investment advisor for Columbia Funds. She held various positions with Columbia, from fund accountant to senior corporate accountant and was responsible for general ledger, commissions, payroll, retirement plan administration, and special projects. She also had an integral part in accounting system conversions and upgrades.

Vicki is a native Oregonian and has more than 25 years of experience in accounting and benefit administration.
